Bed bug removal in Sachse, TX
Bed bugs arrive in luggage, furniture and clothing, and have nothing to do with how clean a home is. Texas A&M AgriLife calls them one of the most difficult pests to get rid of quickly, and recommends hiring an experienced pest control company.
Texas pest control businesses are licensed by the TDA. The call carries no obligation.
Confirming it is bed bugs
Bites alone do not confirm bed bugs; people react differently. What confirms them is finding the insects, their pale shed skins, or the dark spots they leave on sheets and mattress seams. AgriLife estimates about 70 percent of bed bugs in a room are on the mattress, box spring and bed frame, so that is where inspection starts.
Why it needs a methodical job
Bed bugs hide in every crack around the bed — seams, frames, headboards, nightstands, baseboards — and can survive long periods without feeding. Partial treatment and over-the-counter foggers tend to push them into other rooms.
What the visit involves
A technician inspects bedrooms, furniture and nearby rooms to confirm bed bugs and map how far they have spread. Treatment can involve heat, targeted products, vacuuming and mattress encasements, depending on the home and the provider. You will get a preparation list — usually laundering bedding and clothing on high heat, clearing the floor around beds and bagging items — and a date for follow-up.

(866) 204-1244Questions people ask
Can I treat bed bugs myself?
Washing and drying bedding on high heat for 30 minutes kills bed bugs in it, and that helps. The bugs in the bed frame, furniture and cracks are what make a full treatment necessary. Foggers are not recommended.
Should I sleep in another room?
Moving to the couch or another bedroom often spreads them. Ask the provider before changing where people sleep.
How many visits does it take?
Usually more than one. The plan and any follow-up are explained when the inspection is done.
